The world's finest newspaper has identified the world's finest city. Today the Wall Street Journal ran a story featuring economic "Success Stories." Kobe, Japan and Kalamazoo, Michigan, plus a few others, joined Omaha as examples of cities around the world that have successfully revitalized their communities. In a time when politicians and much of the media are bemoaning economic catastrophe (and taking Billions of dollars to "fix it") it is nice to know that Midwestern sensibilities, hard work, and good ideas still work.
